Bonnie McKenzie — Founder & Licensed Advocate · NSW Class 1 No. 20565004
Most people only buy a handful of properties in their lifetime. Yet they're expected to make one of the biggest financial decisions they'll ever make while competing against experienced investors, developers, and professionals who understand the process far better than they do.
The more I watched friends, family, and colleagues buy property, the more I kept coming back to the same question:
Why does everyone in a property transaction have someone representing their interests — except the buyer?
I've bought, renovated, researched and improved almost every home I've owned — learning what creates value, and what destroys it. I made my share of mistakes along the way, and learned the most from them.
Two decades helping people navigate complex, high-stakes decisions — assessing risk, negotiating outcomes, and choosing well under pressure.
Eventually I realised I enjoyed helping people buy property as much as buying it myself. So I left the corporate world and founded FiveFold Property Partners.
I became the independent advocate I wish I'd had — someone to challenge assumptions, uncover risks, cut through the noise, and help you decide with confidence. That's exactly what I do for my clients.
"The homes everyone else overlooks are usually my favourites."
For more than 20 years, I've been buying, renovating, and improving property. I've renovated every home I've owned, and I still get excited by the properties most buyers walk straight past — the awkward floor plans, dated kitchens, worn carpet, and questionable decorating choices.
Where others see problems, I see possibilities. Sometimes the best property isn't the beautifully renovated one. Sometimes it's the one with good bones, hidden value, and the potential to become something special.
Over the years, I've built a trusted network of builders, cabinet makers, designers, and tradespeople who can help bring that potential to life. In many cases, I can even arrange high-level concept plans and renovation estimates before you make an offer, so you're making decisions based on real information rather than assumptions.
For owner-occupiers, that can mean creating a home that's designed around the way you live, rather than paying a premium for someone else's vision. For investors, it can mean uncovering opportunities to add value, manufacture equity, and improve long-term returns.
"I genuinely enjoy suburb statistics, market research, and property data."
Over the years, I've become fascinated by the science behind property selection. I love understanding what makes one property, street, or suburb outperform another. I spend an unhealthy amount of time analysing market trends, researching locations, testing property research tools, and refining the frameworks I use to identify opportunities.
Buying a family home is often emotional. Buying an investment property shouldn't be. The best investment decisions are driven by strategy, evidence, and outcomes — a process I'm constantly refining and improving.
"Helping people navigate complex decisions has been my job for more than 20 years."
Before property, I spent two decades in senior corporate roles where risk assessment, negotiation, and decision-making were part of everyday life. Today, I bring those same skills to every property search. My role isn't to tell clients what to do — it's to uncover opportunities, identify risks, explain trade-offs, and give people the information they need to make decisions with confidence.
FiveFold is intentionally small. I only work with a select number of clients at a time, which means you'll deal directly with me throughout the entire process. No junior handovers. No sales team. No pressure. Just honest advice, thorough research, skilled negotiation, and an experienced advocate firmly in your corner.
